The mornings begin with exercise sessions that bring our residents together for a healthy experience. Following physical fitness is time for trivia and related mental fitness games.
Residents appreciated the compassionate, caring approach provided by all staff in each department.
Community Education
The Manor staff provide services for the community, including long term care planning, Medicaid and Medicare planning, advance directives activation to name a few. These services can be provided at the home or during in-services. We also provide educational classes for the residents.
The 4th Annual Hummer Festival is celebrated with a presentation by long time birders, Joe and Nema Olle, and staff members Sally Crofutt from the Fennessey Ranch.
Oscar, center, and to his right is Joann. Both are being honored for their long time service as Certified Nurse Aides to the residents of "The Manor". Oscar, 20 years, and Joann, 22 years, are shown receiving their Service Achievement Awards at a special staff party.
.Arrangements are regularly made for local community guest speakers to address our residents on a variety of subjects. Here the audience listens to a presentation about civil rights.
Frances, center, is presented a Service Award for her 40 years of employment at the "Manor", taking care of residents' and the homes' belongings.
The "Manor" is conveniently located next to the Refugio Health Clinic and Refugio County Hospital with access to diagnostic testing, laboratories, and x-rays. Local physicians have their practices near by and are easily available to the residents.
The physical part of the "Manor" is inviting, warm and cozy with aesthically pleasing front and back porches. The landscape and wildlife is a big attraction for the residents who enjoy the outdoors.

Virginia, center, is being honored for her 35 years of employment as a certified nurse aide (CNA). She continues to enjoy her work and providing services to the residents of "The Manor".
